VoyaPress aims to publish tourism-related press releases, industry updates, partner news, and editorially reviewed content with care and clarity.
Because VoyaPress publishes a mix of submitted press releases and editorially reviewed tourism industry content, the submitting party remains responsible for the factual accuracy of submitted information. However, VoyaPress will review reported errors and may correct, update, clarify, or remove content where appropriate.
How to Report an Error
To report a possible error please email us using the link at the bottom of this policy
Please include:
- The article URL
- The article title
- The specific sentence, claim, image, link, or detail in question
- A clear explanation of the issue
- Supporting evidence or source material where available
- Your name and relationship to the matter, if relevant
Correction requests should relate to factual accuracy, misleading information, outdated material, incorrect attribution, incorrect links, image concerns, or material omissions.
Review Process
When VoyaPress receives a correction request, the issue may be reviewed against the article, the original submission, available supporting information, and any evidence supplied by the person requesting the correction.
VoyaPress may also contact the submitting party, author, agency, represented company, or relevant source for clarification.
VoyaPress may decide to:
- Make a minor correction
- Add a correction note
- Update unclear wording
- Add clarification
- Remove unsupported or incorrect claims
- Replace incorrect links
- Update image captions or media
- Add or adjust disclosure labels
- Remove the article
- Decline the correction request where no factual error is established
Minor Corrections
Minor corrections may be made without a formal correction note.
Examples include:
- Typographical errors
- Formatting issues
- Broken links
- Minor grammar changes
- Minor name, punctuation, or style fixes
- Small clarity improvements that do not change the meaning of the article
These corrections are made to improve readability and accuracy without materially altering the article.
Major Corrections
Where a correction materially changes the meaning, accuracy, or context of an article, VoyaPress may add a correction note.
Major corrections may include:
- Incorrect dates
- Incorrect prices
- Incorrect names or titles
- Incorrect company information
- Incorrect availability
- Misattributed statements
- Incorrect destination or property details
- Materially misleading claims
- Incorrect disclosure status
A correction note may explain what was corrected and when the correction was made.
Clarifications and Updates
Sometimes an article may be factually correct but unclear, incomplete, or in need of additional context.
In these cases, VoyaPress may update the wording, add clarification, or improve the article without treating the change as a formal correction.
Articles may also be updated when new information becomes available, provided the update does not mislead readers about the original publication context.
Retractions and Removals
VoyaPress may remove an article where there are serious concerns that cannot be resolved through correction or clarification.
Reasons for removal may include:
- Objectively incorrect information
- Legal concerns
- Privacy concerns
- Misleading or deceptive submissions
- Non-tourism relevance
- Duplicate publication abuse
- Unauthorised use of images or intellectual property
- Misrepresentation of a person, company, destination, or tourism product
- False claims that cannot be reliably corrected
- Spam or inappropriate link-building activity
If an article is found to be objectively incorrect in a material way and cannot be corrected reliably, VoyaPress may remove it from the platform.
Requests That May Not Qualify as Corrections
VoyaPress may decline requests that are not factual corrections.
Examples include:
- Requests to rewrite an article for preference only
- Requests to remove accurate published information without a valid reason
- Requests to delete content because of a change in marketing strategy
- Requests to remove a competitor’s article without evidence of inaccuracy
- Requests based only on opinion, preference, or commercial disagreement
