VoyaPress is a tourism press release and industry publishing platform. The platform publishes submitted press releases, partner news, paid distribution content, and editorially reviewed tourism industry updates.
This fact-checking policy explains how VoyaPress reviews content before publication, what level of verification is applied, and where responsibility for factual accuracy sits.
Our Fact-checking Position
VoyaPress does not operate as a full investigative fact-checking publication.
Because many articles are submitted by businesses, agencies, media representatives, or tourism industry stakeholders, the submitting party is responsible for the factual accuracy of the information provided.
This includes responsibility for:
- Company names
- Product names
- Dates
- Prices
- Availability
- Contact details
- Website links
- Claims about services or experiences
- Destination or property descriptions
- Awards and recognitions
- Images and media rights
- Quotes and attributed statements
- Legal permissions and representations
VoyaPress applies a lighter editorial review before publication. This review is designed to identify obvious issues, improve publishing quality, and reduce the risk of misleading or irrelevant content being published.
What VoyaPress May Check
Before publication, VoyaPress may review content for:
- Tourism relevance
- Obvious factual errors
- Misleading claims
- Suspicious or broken links
- Basic source credibility
- Incorrect names, dates, or locations
- Unsupported superlatives or exaggerated claims
- Duplicate or low-value submissions
- Non-tourism content
- Image relevance
- Commercial disclosure requirements
- Basic consistency between the article, links, and submitted information
This process does not guarantee that every factual claim has been independently verified.
Tourism Relevance Check
Every submission must be relevant to tourism, travel, hospitality, safari, destination marketing, travel trade, or the wider tourism industry.
If a submission is not tourism-related, VoyaPress may reject it, request revisions, or remove it after publication.
Preferred Sources
Where additional checking or context is needed, VoyaPress prefers information from:
- Official company websites
- Direct company representatives
- Tourism boards
- Government or official destination sources
- Booking pages
- Media kits
- Public press releases
- Official social media channels
- Direct submissions from authorised representatives
VoyaPress may ask the submitting party for clarification or supporting information where a claim appears unclear, exaggerated, unsupported, or potentially misleading.
Claims, Awards, and Statistics
Submissions that include strong claims should be supportable.
Examples include:
- “Best”
- “Leading”
- “Award-winning”
- “First”
- “Only”
- “Largest”
- “Most trusted”
- “Most popular”
- Visitor numbers
- Booking statistics
- Market share
- Revenue or growth claims
- Environmental or conservation claims
VoyaPress may edit, soften, remove, or request proof for claims that appear unsupported.
Paid and Partner Content
Paid distribution, sponsored content, partner news, and featured placements are still subject to editorial review.
A paid submission may be rejected or removed if it is not tourism-related, appears misleading, contains objectively incorrect information, includes inappropriate links, or does not meet VoyaPress publishing standards.
Paid placement does not override the responsibility of the submitting party to provide accurate information.
Post-publication Review
If a published article is reported as inaccurate, VoyaPress may review the content, request supporting information, correct the article, add a correction note, or remove the article.
If a published article is found to be objectively incorrect in a material way and cannot be corrected reliably, VoyaPress may remove it from the platform.
Reader and Industry Feedback
Readers, tourism businesses, agencies, and industry stakeholders may report possible errors or misleading information.
Please email correction or accuracy concerns. Include the article URL, the specific statement in question, the reason it may be incorrect, and any supporting evidence or source material.
