VoyaPress is a tourism press release and industry publishing platform based in South Africa. The platform publishes tourism-related press releases, travel trade updates, destination news, company announcements, campaign updates, and editorially reviewed tourism industry content.
VoyaPress exists to give tourism businesses, agencies, travel brands, tour operators, accommodation providers, destination marketers, and related industry stakeholders a structured publishing platform for relevant tourism news.
These editorial guidelines explain what we publish, how submitted content is reviewed, how commercial content is labelled, and what standards apply before and after publication.
What VoyaPress Publishes
VoyaPress accepts and publishes content that is directly relevant to the tourism, travel, hospitality, safari, destination marketing, travel trade, and tourism business sectors.
This may include:
- Tourism press releases
- Travel trade announcements
- Lodge, hotel, camp, villa, and accommodation updates
- Tour operator and DMC news
- Destination updates
- Tourism campaign announcements
- New travel products, packages, routes, or experiences
- Tourism event news
- Agency, PR, and marketing updates related to tourism
- Industry opinion or editorially reviewed tourism news
- Partner news and paid distribution content where clearly labelled
VoyaPress does not aim to publish general lifestyle, unrelated business, political, adult, gambling, misleading, illegal, or non-tourism content.
Tourism Relevance Requirement
All content submitted to VoyaPress must be tourism-related or clearly relevant to the tourism industry.
VoyaPress may reject, edit, delay, or remove submissions that do not meet this requirement. Content that appears to be submitted mainly for unrelated SEO, spam, link-building, or non-tourism promotional purposes may be declined.
Submitted Press Releases
Many articles on VoyaPress are submitted by businesses, agencies, public relations representatives, or authorised third parties.
The submitting party is responsible for the accuracy of the facts, claims, dates, names, links, contact details, pricing, availability, images, and statements provided in the submission.
VoyaPress may review, edit, format, reject, or request clarification on submitted content before publication. This review may include checking for tourism relevance, readability, obvious factual issues, duplicate content, misleading claims, inappropriate links, and basic publishing quality.
Publication on VoyaPress does not mean VoyaPress independently verifies every claim made by the submitting party.
Editorial Review
VoyaPress may review content for:
- Tourism relevance
- Basic accuracy indicators
- Obvious errors or contradictions
- Clarity and readability
- Headline quality
- Formatting and structure
- Inappropriate or misleading claims
- Broken or suspicious links
- Overly promotional or low-value copy
- Duplicate or near-duplicate submissions
- Image suitability
- Disclosure requirements for paid or partner content
VoyaPress reserves the right to make editorial changes for clarity, grammar, formatting, SEO structure, readability, category placement, and platform consistency.
Sources and Supporting Information
Where supporting information is required, VoyaPress prefers sources such as:
- Official company websites
- Direct company representatives
- Tourism boards
- Government or official destination sources
- Booking pages
- Media kits
- Press releases
- Publicly available industry information
- Direct submissions from authorised representatives
VoyaPress may request supporting information if a submission includes strong factual claims, awards, statistics, pricing, openings, closures, ownership changes, or statements that could materially affect readers.
Paid Distribution and Featured Content
VoyaPress may publish free submissions, paid distribution content, featured placements, partner news, and sponsored content.
Where applicable, commercial or paid content may be labelled using terms such as:
- Paid Distribution
- Sponsored
- Partner News
- Featured
- Press Release
These labels are intended to help readers understand the nature of the content.
Paid placement does not guarantee publication of misleading, irrelevant, unlawful, or non-tourism content. VoyaPress may decline paid submissions that do not meet its editorial standards.
Bylines and Attribution
VoyaPress may use different byline formats depending on the content type.
Articles may be attributed to:
- The submitting company
- A named author
- A media contact
- A contributing agency
- VoyaPress Editorial Team
- Partner News
- Press Release
Where content is submitted on behalf of a company, VoyaPress may identify the submitting brand, agency, or represented organisation where appropriate.
Images and Media
Images supplied to VoyaPress must be authorised for use by the submitting party.
Submitted images may include photographs, logos, campaign graphics, destination images, property images, product images, or approved promotional material.
AI-generated images are allowed, but they must not mislead readers. AI-generated images should not falsely represent a real property, destination, guest experience, person, event, or tourism product. Where appropriate, VoyaPress may identify AI-generated images as illustrative.
The submitting party remains responsible for ensuring that image rights, permissions, and usage rights are valid.
Hosted Travel, Familiarisation Trips, and Commercial Relationships
Tourism publishing often involves hosted stays, media rates, partner campaigns, agency submissions, and promotional relationships.
Where relevant, VoyaPress may disclose commercial relationships, sponsored content, partner content, or paid distribution status.
VoyaPress aims to maintain a clear distinction between submitted promotional content, partner content, paid distribution, and editorially reviewed tourism industry content.
Rejection, Removal, and Retraction
VoyaPress may reject or remove content where there are serious concerns, including:
- False or objectively incorrect claims
- Misleading information
- Non-tourism relevance
- Legal concerns
- Privacy concerns
- Duplicate publication abuse
- Inappropriate or unsafe content
- Unauthorised use of images or trademarks
- Misrepresentation of a business, person, destination, or product
- Spam, deceptive SEO, or low-value link-building submissions
If an article is found to be objectively incorrect in a material way and cannot be corrected reliably, VoyaPress may remove it from the platform.
